4 Year Plan
Year 1: Develop Club & Launch a STEM Resource Website
- Establish the club STEM4ALL at Richard Montgomery High School
- Create a welcoming environment for all students
- Focus on developing a diverse group of students within the leadership structure and club community
- Create the STEM4ALL website including trustworthy resources and opportunities for students in Montgomery County
- Incorporate ideas from students, teachers, and STEM professionals to ensure our website and club are being created in an accessible manner
- Promote STEM4ALL throughout RMHS to build a foundation of people passionate about STEM
Year 2: Expand Reach & Improve Quality

Improve the website by filming and uploading videos related to stem opportunities and resources for students in K-12 including:
- Student interviews about STEM opportunities
- STEM resource reviews
- Interviews with STEM professionals in the community
- Include stories of people with diverse backgrounds working in STEM on the website to inspire the next generation
- Initiate connections with staff at the elementary and middle schools in anticipation of collaborating with the next generation of STEM enthusiasts in the 3rd and 4th year of the club
- Integrate credible STEM-related sources including colleges, businesses, and other STEM organizations to inspire club members and evoke creativity within the club
- Host school events with an emphasis on underrepresented voices in STEM at Richard Montgomery High School such as information sessions and career talks
Year 3: Engage Elementary Students
- Continue to cultivate relations with elementary schools in the area to help them find helpful resources and activities for their students
- Start leading interactive STEM workshops, hosting after school club meetings, or science fairs at the elementary schools
- Develop mentoring relationship between participants in the club with younger students, so the club member can serve as role models for the elementary school students
- Begin an annual STEM4ALL fair event for elementary school students that includes presentations, hands-on experiments, and speakers to inspire these students
Year 4: Expand to Middle School Outreach
- Start to expand the club to middle school students by hosting programs and mentorships from high school club participants
- Continue to encourage the connection between peers and mentors
- Develop strong relationships with staff at the elementary and middle school to create a strong foundation for the program and ensure the future success of the club
- Gather feedback, continue to improve the club, and plan for the future student leadership to keep the club going strong after the current leaders graduate
- Select ambassadors for STEM4ALL to expand the club
- Create a STEM4ALL “Blueprint” to encourage other schools to create STEM4ALL at their high schools
- Pursue recognition in the community to build continued momentum in the club
